I do like Snape but I don't like the 'Saint Snape' legacy he seems to gain by the end of the series. They do gloss over Snape's reasons for becoming a death eater in the first place. It's not like he was always a double agent. I also lost respect for Remus when he wanted to leave his family to go adventuring with Harry.

I'd want to be like Hermione and Luna too. Or McGonagall when I'm older.

Spot on how I feel too. Sure he had a pretty crappy childhood and was ripped to shreds in school by James and Sirius etc. but still. He must have gone pretty far darkside and done some pretty awful things to get where he ended up.

My best mate went BANANAS over Remus abandoning Teddy and Tonks. And fair cop too, it seemed incredibly OOC to me but then I'm sure Remus was pretty resigned to living alone and lonely after all his friends died/went to prison and then he lost Sirius all over again. Gah. Sucks.

McGonagall has my everlasting respect, as does Maggie Smith. What a trooper that woman is.
