I did feel like there was a gap in the fandom for a thorough exploration of this episode arc with Ten/Rose - one that didn't see her pushed to the sidelines as a maid for once because there's an awful lot of them out there.
I've had a lot of fun with Rose in this actually - getting her to do things and be in situations where she's SO very out of her depth and without even the Doctor there to guide her.
Yes, eventually you'll find out why he's not letting her grieve, and it's an interesting one for sure because it isn't neccesarily a simple and straightforward reason. It never is when it's the Doctor!
You know I have actually been thinking and musing on this fic as a comparison to Ten2/Rose lately? Not sure if anything will come of it but it's definitely crossed my mind.
She doesn't find anything in his coat...she does eventually find something else somewhere else though ;)
