This is some really, really amazing storytelling. The way you've written about Rose's conflicting feelings, and the small piece of resolution she gets at the end of this chapter, to live in the moment and make sure John lives a good life while he still can, is incredibly well done!

And the way you've depicted this new stage in their relationship is also brilliant; there are still unresolved issues between them and finally getting to that point wasn't some kind of magical solution to their problems, but it's incredibly realistic and John's insecurities and his love for Rose is so very sweet. ♥
