Once upon a time this would have been inconceivable for him, to launch himself weeping onto this woman but times have changed (oh yes) and so has he.

I'm quoting the above because it illustrates best what I love about this. You've done such a lovely job making the Doctor just subtly different here to go with his human side. Some 10.5 fics make him too human IMO, or not human enough, but you got the balance right, even alluding to that little bit of Donna yet still retaining all his memories and mannerisms (squirming over the thought of a tux). That's why I buy him breaking down here so openly, when we know 10 never would.
And I also love the way you cut your scenes. To have it turn out the opening scene was a flashback and then have it cut right to Rose dying on the floor was brilliant in how jarring it was. I assumed a linear story so what a fun shock. Can't wait for the rest.
