I agree totally with this. Better to know that she has a chance at a life - a fantastic life potentially - even if he cannot be a part of it, rather than having to watch her die. I have a rather epic amount of material for a Ten/Rose/Ten2 story wherein they stay travelling with him until...well until they die and it's just the saddest, most heartbreaking thing.
