LOL. I feel so much more comfortable writing smut now than I ever was before. Once upon a time I used to base my smut mainly off other stories that I'd read because the honest truth was that I honestly didn't have much experience up my sleeve =P ah those carefree innocent days! But I digress, yes I should probably write more smut/R rated stuff =P
What I loved in this scene, like you said, was the contrast of hot and cold. The heat of their sexual exploits and then Charlie's cold shoulder the next day to the poor girl who had stayed expecting something more. I kind of feel like that was a very "Liam" kind of moment for him. Even though he's not using yet, his brother is still being a bad influence on him.
Well, I clicked quicker than Charlie did what "favours" David was gonna want for his drugs.
Lol, I think everyone will. Poor Charlie, he was so clueless and ended up in so far over his head but then he just couldn't stop himself in the end. That final scene gave me the shudders too, the implications that it leaves hanging just...ugh. I'm so awful to my poor Charlie! If I'm not killing him off then I'm torturing him emotionally! *hides face*
This was almost the reverse of the morning after scene in the Jodie section - this time it is Charlie who is abused, chewed up and spat out by his bed partner.
Hey yeah - nice catch there! Whoot - I am unintentionally brilliant!
And the last line saying that Lily is the last person that he slept with was very saddening.
I know. To think that his last time was with her is just...man. How much would that just suck for him?
Oh *cries* you still write the sweetest PB&J known to LJ and I love you for it!
*bows* I do what I can. After everything that's happened on the show I still can't help but love these two together. Even when Claire was being the worlds biggest bitch, even now that she's practically ignoring his death, even when Charlie was crazy and obsessive and practically stalking her...this is my biggest, strongest OTP to date in any fandom and I don't think I'll ever stop shipping them.
After all Charlie's sexual degradations it is beautiful to see him regaining an almost virginal innocence through his love for Claire. Of course it makes the ending seem even more sad, because you realise that though Charlie has had sex in many different ways he has never made love and now he never will. I don't know whether to feel gutted over that or to treasure the lasting purity of their relationship, but it feels altogether too tragic.
I think that's one of the worst tragedies of all for this ship - that there was so much potential for Charlie to grow and love and just be happy with Claire - and vice versa. If you tweak the circumstances just slightly you can see that they could have been amazing but instead they just kept on butting heads and then with Charlie's untimely death...well that just blew the ship right out of the water didn't it? Sigh.

Lol. I wish. No I've got some more writing to do and I probably won't get back to it until Sunday afternoon at this rate. I've got dancing all day tomorrow and then my brothers GF's 20th and then Sunday I'm teaching more dancing and then we're having a pasta cook up for my Nan's birthday that night.
