He wants it to be different, he's respectful, he's chaste, he loves her, it's like he's begging God for this chance, but he knows he's out of time.
It also drives the point home of just what Claire actually did for Charlie. That was so important to him but only he knows it. From the outside it seemed so one-sided but from here, you can see how Charlie was getting his needs met.
Only you can swing so smoothly from raunch to fluff and make them both work. I felt both the hardness and softness of this fic. What a pleasure from start to finish.
