Damn, girl! I'm so pleased so see you dishing out new fics by the day. I don't know how you do it, especially when every fic you come out with is sooo bloody good!Each one of these vignettes were such vivid striking moments of lust, pain and anguish.
The first: This scene was so real, awkward and tender. I could easily imagine Charlie as this shy worried kid, wanting to make his girlfriend happy but frightened of hurting her as they both attempted sex for the first time. It was so muted and unromantic, so childlike and sad.
The second: This bit proves you really need to write more R rated fics! Your sex scenes can be red hot when you want them to be... Now the girls were doing some rather entertaining things together, touching and kissing and licking, removing their remaining, flimsy pieces of clothing and doing all manners of unspeakably good things. Charlie was merely enjoying the floorshow for now, occasionally taking swigs from the almost-empty bottle of champagne and letting himself grow hard. ...but the morning after scene was so cold and heartless by comparision. I really disliked Charlie for the careless way he treated that girl. Though you gave the impression that Charlie is just doing what he thinks rockstars are supposed to do.
The third: Well, I clicked quicker than Charlie did what "favours" David was gonna want for his drugs. That rape scene was very brutal and unflinching, very brave of you to write it. The most chilling moment however was Charlie returning to David at the end, David's smug reaction and Charlie's brisk uncaring submission. It just shows you how low Charlie has sunk and how desperate he has become for his fix *shudders*
The fourth: Great extension of this one-night stand. You depicted Lilly really vividly with all her skeletal skankyness! This was almost the reverse of the morning after scene in the Jodie section - this time it is Charlie who is abused, chewed up and spat out by his bed partner. And the last line saying that Lily is the last person that he slept with was very saddening.
The fifth: Oh *cries* you still write the sweetest PB&J known to LJ and I love you for it! After all Charlie's sexual degradations it is beautiful to see him regaining an almost virginal innocence through his love for Claire. Of course it makes the ending seem even more sad, because you realise that though Charlie has had sex in many different ways he has never made love and now he never will. I don't know whether to feel gutted over that or to treasure the lasting purity of their relationship, but it feels altogether too tragic.
