I think though that it sort of helps to add to the whole irony of their relationship, there is so much that they don't totally understand about each other and whilst each are desperate to connect they are both too scared about bearing the skeletons in their closest for fear of being turned away and also because the island lends a good escape to forgetting about a lot of those past mistakes.

Then again what would I know I don't actually watch the show *shrugs*
