Yay! First FF-Charlie challenge entry! BTW, I don't know if you noticed but somebody submitted a late Loved Up! Maybe you can tag them a banner onto your next batch.
Anyway, excellent fic. This is the sort of moment I've been imagining with Kate if FF Charlie came to visit her. I could definitely see them sitting shoulder to shoulder on the stairs, like that "crumbling" scene after Charlie has reclaimed Claire's diary.
I love that FF Charlie had a car! Too cool. In the fic I'm working on Charlie has his own flat, but maybe he has a car too. And a pet reptile. And a surfboard. Basically Charlie was reincarnated as Dominic Monaghan. They look rather similar after all.
Great idea for Charlie to bring up how Kate was lied to about her parentage and the very negative effect it had on her. Way to call Kate on her hypocrisy! I also liked that Charlie was sympathetic to Kate, because he knows how it feels to admit that Aaron is not his son, even though they truly love him like their own child.
Lastly it tore at my heart that Charlie wouldn't go inside and see Aaron. Like it would be too painful for him, though he was still doing everything he could to bring Claire and Aaron back together.
