What fate has done to Charlie was so cruel and needless, but the fact that it has robbed poor little Aaron of a loving father just makes it so much worse. Even if Claire and Aaron are rescued as a result of Charlie's sacrifice I don't think they are ever gonna live happily. That loss will always be with them and Charlie's death WAS nightmarish. Aaron stikes me as a very sensitive baby. He's gonna be traumatised, poor mite. It was heartwrenching that the only picture where everyone was smiling was the one featuring Charlie (even in his box of blue).
