I was drawn to Charlie for the exact same reason. Underneath all the crap that came with his drug addiction he was such a sweet guy, and he genuinely cared about those around him. Claire's become more selfish I think since season one but in a way I think it's justified, she needs to think about Aaron first and foremost before everyone else. It's also why I loved C/C so much - their relationship was always about THEM, not running around the jungle like idiots. Sigh.

Sometimes I think quotes can really enhance what you're trying to say and sometimes they're really unneccesary. It's just a matter of knowing how to use them well and I always try to do that.

Imagining Charlie saying that line, his voice cracking as he clings onto Claire for grim death makes me all wibbly. My poor Charlie!
